How Bout Now

"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of courage. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them." – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I discovered this new website called Fitbay. I usually don't explore much on new sites but I heard some good things about it. I prefer shopping online more than I do in store but a lot of you tell me your hesitant about ordering clothes online because of the fitting. I checked out Fitbay and they help with sizing and fit depending on your body type/height/weight and also tell you what brands work best for you. I was skeptical but curious to see if it worked and was actually surprised when it was accurate. I usually wear a size 12 in Gap jeans (which I'm wearing below) and a size Large at Forever 21 and sure enough it had both of them up on my profile. Not really sure how they do it but it really does help. I found a couple of brands that I like thanks to them (Boden and LOFT). I hope this helps you guys take away some of your online shopping fears because I know I get overwhelmed going through racks of clothes. You guys can check out my profile here!

It was hard keeping this a secret but I'm so happy to say I'm a part of this issue of Stylist Magazine that is entirely edited by Lena Dunham. All the shots are below and you can check out the interview here!

Bare Pantsuit

"Just because you are struggling does NOT mean you are failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there."

My incredibly talented good friend Nicolette Mason teamed up with Modcloth for her own capsule collection and I'm so excited and proud of her. I got this pantsuit set and love it. The material stretches which is a must for my buttcheeks and the blazer is super comfy. Everyone check out her capsule! Love you Nicolette! xoxo

You put me on layaway

“Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?” ― Mary Manin Morrissey

Burgundy is my go-to color when I feel like I want to start dressing for Fall but don't want the cold that comes along with it. When the seasons change and I have to start transitioning my wardrobe I get a little too excited. Each Fall I get into monochrome mode so I paired this dress with Sole Society heels and quilted clutch. I love their bags, they have a huge assortment of bags. Something about quilted anything means it has to be in my closet. Be prepared to see this clutch in numerous posts this Fall. I wore this SimplyBe dress for my 26th birthday while I was in London but never got to take pictures. I found it when I visited their new store in London. It's 2 stories and absolutely gorgeous.

Can't tell me nothin

"Waiting to develop courage is just another form of procrastination. The most successful people take action while they’re afraid."

I can't stop wearing kimonos because they're so incredibly comfortable. I have another post coming up wearing another one. I wore this outfit to my Boohoo Q&A Twitter chat that I did a few weeks back. I love answering all of your questions and appreciate all your sweet comments. I have some exciting things in the works with Boohoo and I can't wait to share!

The Ride

“Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.” ― Jon Krakauer

These are the last shots I have from Greece and were taken the day before I left back to London. My friend and I went to downtown Thessaloniki and spent an hour trying to find parking, ate kebabs and tzatziki, and then went to one of the best bakeries that was referred to us by one of our waiters from the night before. The waterfront by the white tower of Thessaloniki was gorgeous. At lunch, we sat facing towards the water and people watched, which is one of my favorite past times.

Bomb

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.” ― Jim Morrison

The quote above really woke me up. It speaks to me on so many levels. I had to share it. On another note, I've been holding out on pictures from London. It only feels right wearing boohoo.com clothing while I'm in the UK. Okay so, they've totally redid their site and it looks amazingggg and they keep constantly updating all their pieces, especially the plus section. Not to mention, I'm on their home page and at the top of their plus page so (insert smiley face here)! They put up the 2 piece snake skin print co-ordinate I've been in love with since I laid eyes on it. Everyone ask me where they can find pants, here and here.
