I've been a fan of Dimepiece for quite some time. They are my favorite women's street wear brand. Can you blame me? How can I not be obsessed with them after their "Ain't No Wifey" saying on every piece of clothing you could image. Also, lets not forget the Killa Cam pieces they have.

"We can learn to see each other and see ourselves in each other and recognize that human beings are more alike than we are unalike." -Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou's death today really hits home for me because her interviews and speeches helped me through most of my hard times. Each time I do a blog post, I put up an inspirational quote that has to do with my current situations, and countless times I've used Maya's. She restored my faith in humanity. Just wanted to take this moment to appreciate her beautiful soul. On a lighter note, I was happy to speak on the panel about self love at BeautyCon. Here are a few shots from the event. Thank you to BeautyCon for having me and to my make up artist Ciara and hair stylist Lucas! Also, this is probably one of my favorite looks to this day. My bodysuit and skirt are from Boohoo!

"That is the key, being yourself. Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live." -Gianni Versace

It's pretty crazy seeing how much street wear has made a come back. Not so much a come back but to think its found a way in to high fashion boggles my mind. You don't really see people wear FUBU anymore, so leave it up to me to make it happen. I use to wear it all the time when I was younger. I was actually on twitter and one of my followers, who has been a follower of mine since as far back as I could remember said "When you gonna keep it real and model a FUBU 05 jersey?" haha...so here we go!

Going back to my roots when I began blogging wearing swimwear/bras as actual tops. I kept seeing Triangl pop up on my tumblr dashboard and had to get a few swimsuits from there. Forgot to tell you guys that I'll be speaking on the Beautycon panel Saturday, May 24th in NYC at Pier 36! My panel starts at 4pm and I'll be speaking on loving yourself! You can purchase tickers HERE or always stream it live! Hope to see some of you there. If you see me, please say hi and we'll take a shit ton of selfies! xx

I'm wearing an Addition Elle bathing suit top as an actual tank top because I felt like it. I've been obsessing over fringe and I'm not too sure why. By the way, I was featured on BuzzFeed and the article written about me is HILARIOUS! You guys can check it out here!

back on my bullshit

"It's like no matter where I go in life and the things that I accomplish, when you walk in that room, your past still comes in with you." -Jay Z

Pardon me for the lack of heels lately. People who have been following me since the beginning know my style changes frequently and I don't like staying to one look in particular. This is actually how I use to dress in high school. Skinny jeans, loose top, and a pair of fresh sneakers and/or timbs. I was very much a tomboy growing up (example: throwback thursday freshman football). It wasn't until I was 21 that I started wearing a lot of heels. Something about throwing timbs on makes me feel like I'm back on my old Nadia bullshit and honestly I'm not sure why I stopped wearing so many sneakers and boots.

everyBODY is flawless

You guys, I've been keeping this a secret (like Beyonce). I shot this Beyonce music video with GabiFresh and Tess Munster a few months ago when I was in Los Angeles. I'm SOOOOOO hype for the release of this because of the message it sends. Gabi hit me up and was like "Nadia, we should just redo the Beyonce video." Of course I said yes because you know I'm always down. There was so much work put into this. We spent about 12 hours straight shooting it. I had so much fun with both of these beautiful women. I think in an industry like all three of us are in, everyone is so competitive. I love joining forces with other women and see them prosper in every way imaginable.

What I love about Beyonce's video is she speaks on feminism (which I'm huge on) and also shows a clip in the beginning of Girls Tyme losing the competition. I kept watching the Beyonce video over and over again and it sparked my mind for our video to be more personal. I turned to Gabi and was like, I have an amazing idea for the beginning of our video. We should put up clips of interviews all three of us did in the past where we spoke about how we deal with society. I am honestly so glad I randomly thought of it because the message is incredibly powerful and I really hope it opens up people's minds.

I was so tired of people telling me over the years what I should and should not wear, how I should act, who I should be, and I knew both Gabi and Tess were use to the backlash too. Every day it seems like there are more and more advertisements, magazine pages, and commercials brainwashing people. For me, this video is to show all of my followers that you define your definition of beauty. Don't let anyone tell you to be or look a certain way. We are all flawless and to keep reminding yourself of that.

"If you want to be great, you gotta have a why. You have to have a reason for why you do what you do." -Eric Thomas

I snapped these pictures in London while on my way to lunch with your favorite BBC Radio 1 DJ Dev, (thank you for the pics)! Every time I travel and experience new places and new people, it makes me never want to go home. When I do end up back home, I get in the WORST mood ever. Possibly thinking of packing up my stuff and traveling the world when my apartment lease ends. Either way, I had such a good time in the U.K.
