Color Crush

“When the past calls, let it go to voicemail, believe me, it has nothing new to say.”

The summer has me wearing brighter colors. I'm still a fan of color blocking even though I don't do it as often as I use to a year or so ago. I've been crushing on orange for so time now so got this tangerine crop top from Addition Elle. For almost every post, I take a piece of my clothing and either alter it or do something wild to make it my own. I took this American Apparel dress, twirled the long sleeves really tight, and then tucked them into each other forming what sort of looks like a belt. I then took a gold necklace and intertwined it between the twirled long sleeves. The result was pretty dope. I've been going through what I call "hair hell". This is the awkward stage where I don't really know what to do with my hair but wait until it grows out to my long bob again.

  2. The dress as a skirt/belt was genius! And I love the cobalt blue.
I know your pain with the hair purgatory. I'm torn between getting it cut again and letting it grow out. Oh, the woes of the pixie.

  7. I love the idea of the "belt" - it looks fantastic. I learned the best thing with a grow out is lots of gel and hair flowers!

  9. You look #fierce as always! And your hair looks great, but believe me I get the "awkward stage" of growing it out. I had a pixie 3 years ago and have been growing it out since. It's now to my collar bones, but I'm itching for it to get longer so I feel more glamorous again.
Hang in there and keep rocking!!
(Also I love your hair curled! You make the growing out stage look fabulous in a way I didn't

  10. Very creative and cute! I like your cut, but the long hair is absolutely beautiful on you. I actually thought you were black but mixed with something.

  12. I always like to think I have some sense of fashion, but browsing your blog and seeing how you turn dresses into skirts, sleeves into belts, ordinary items into fashion, I'm awed. You really have an eye for style.
