"Nothing can add more power to your life than concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets" - Nido Qubein

My followers: I need you to listen up! I'm giving you an early heads up to not make plans and/or cancel the ones you already have for Tuesday, May 1st, from 6-9 PM. I will be co-hosting Kellie B of FatshionInsider's event called Shop & Swap at Tammany Hall in East Village. Gabi Fresh, Nicolette Mason, and a few other fashion bloggers will be co-hosting as well. Taking place on three levels, there are going to be racks of clothes, an open vodka bar for the first hour, food, door prizes, tweet contests, and most importantly...ME! haha. No but seriously, you all know by now, the number one thing I love about my blog, is my supporters, followers, and fans. I'm dying to meet and take pictures with all of you! Myself, along with the other bloggers, are going to have two full garment racks of our clothes ready to sell or when you arrive. I can't wait to meet all of you. My number one rule is, DON'T BE SHY! On another note, I've been thinking lately about inspiration and how I get inspired. I've never been one to bother and see what other people are doing nor hop on the latest trends. When I get inspired, it's mainly from living life and going through experiences.

Who saw the April 2012 Issue of Seventeen Magazine? Its still weird how I can go in almost any store and pick up a magazine with me in it. This was my second time shooting with Seventeen and I absolutely adore them. For those who haven't seen it yet, here is the picture of me on page 42. Oh..only if I was really 19 again, that would be amazing. haha. By the way...I just updated my shop! Click HERE to see! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

all it took was patience.

"Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women." -Maya Angelou

A follower of mine wrote me this Maya quote on my Facebook Fanpage the other day. She told me she really believed that the quote represents my position as a role model for my female followers. To have her, as well as many other people have this view of me, really is more touching than anyone could imagine. I have so much to be thankful for. I'm wearing a coral gables tee from Nation Ltd. You guys don't understand how comfortable their clothes are. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the tee actually has a sort of shimmer/glitter to it. It is a basic must have in your closet.

“Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation, for your character is what you are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” -Dale Carnegie

I haven't done a questionnaire in a while. A lot of you have questions, so below in the comment box, if you have any you want to ask, I'll be happy to answer them in my next post! I've gotten some of the sweetest comments by my fans/followers lately. Reading and hearing all that you guys feel and think about me keeps me going even in my hardest times. When I get homesick or feel like things aren't how I want them to, I do a lot of convincing myself that things are for the best. I've learned more about myself in these past 3 months than I have my entire life. I've tried making decisions with intellect rather than emotion. I never knew how mentally strong I was until I had no other option. Giving up was never an option for me. The biggest risk you take is not taking one. It sometimes still gets a little difficult, but when my followers tell me the impact I make on them, it makes everything worth it. So thank you everyone!

"If I tell you that I am good, probably you will say that I'm boasting, but if I tell you that I am no good, you'll know that I'm lying" -Bruce Lee

These past couple of days, my mom shipped the majority of my clothes and shoes to me from Florida. If I haven't been at work, then I've been unloading all my belongings, which takes an enormous amount of time considering I'm an organization freak. On another note, I love day light savings time. I get so much more done when it gets darker later. The only time I'm able to take blog pictures is on my weekends off, so my posts aren't going to be as frequent as they were when I lived in Florida. I am ready for summer to be here already so I can start wearing the clothes that I REALLY want to. haha.

"Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go to work" -H. L. Hungt

This week has been pretty amazing for me so that is why I haven't been able to post as frequently. Last December, I shot with Seventeen Magazine for their April issue. The issue should be in stands within the next couple of days so be sure to keep an eye out for that! I love me some sheer and I also love anything bondage style. When I came across this Fashion To Figure top, I had to instantly have it. The super cute bag is from them too! Happy March by the way! Hope everyone is enjoying it as much as I am so far.
