I flew into NYC on Friday morning. Right before I left Florida I took these pictures. While putting this outfit together I felt like NYC fashion week mode...although I was still in Florida haha. So this outfit was obviously inspired by NYC. My hat was given to me by my grandmother, my skirt is Wetseal, my crop top is a cut wife beater, and my necklace is thrifted. I should be in NYC for the next couple of days or so, I'm pretty excited about it. Let's just say I already hit up a few thrift stores haha. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves" -Henry David Thoreau

I've had this dress in my closet for a super long time. Sometimes I obviously don't dress according to seasons. I usually just wear what I want to when I want to disregarding what month or time it is. I just go by what I envision in my head. If I like what I put together, then I wear it, regardless of what season it is. I miss fall attire A LOT. I'm tempted to wear an 80's sweater in 90 degree weather. haha too much? Wearing this sunflower dress reminded me of the question. This dress is perfect for the summer! My final exams are tomorrow, my last day of class..finally. Then im off to pack to be leaving to NYC this weekend! Maybe i'll see some of my followers while there!

magenta madness.

“Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe” -Barbara De Angelis

A couple days later and I finally got over being sick. Thank you everyone for wishing me to get better. Recently, when I was thrift shopping, I found these gorgeous pants. They had the same exact pants in almost every color you could imagine so it was difficult giving myself a limit, I only walked away with two that day, this being one of the colors. haha. My mommy gave me this amazing Dooney and Bourke bag that I now officially want to carry everywhere with me. I bought this turban at the thrift store, it use to be a white full turban that covered the entire top of the head, I didn't really like it that way so i cut it down the middle to make it a headband turban, I then dyed it this magenta color and now I like it way better. Altering clothes to fit your liking is a MUST! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

in full effect.

"You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile" -Brian Tracy

I love green and brown. Both of them together are one of my favorite color schemes. This past week I have been super sick so I havent been out the house much besides work and school. When I'm sick I always feel like im dying and I literally drag myself everywhere I have to be. I'm surprised I could even get myself looking decent for these pictures because my bags under my eyes are pretty rough from being so sick haha.

keep raising the bar.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader” - John Quincy Adams

80' usual. haha. The pattern and colors on this top are super 80's..hence why I'm in love with it. My blue and black platform heels are from Aldo. They are hands down one of my favorite heels. I keep counting down the days until I touch down in New Jersey/New York. I feel so deprived from the city life. Being there feels like a whole nother world. The buildings, the noises, the crowdedness, the diversity, ahhh its just so overwhelming..which is always good for vacation, well this kind of vacation atleast. School is almost over with..two more weeks. I can not wait until it is over! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

"Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment" -Oprah

I switched my hair up like I said I was going to! Before I just had a streak of blonde under the layers of my hair that you could only see when my hair was flipped, but now I bleached the bottom tips of my hair and this was the end result! I'm super in love with it! I decided to wear something more modern this time for a change, and kept my outfit a little simple. My clutch, blazer, and necklace are all thrfited. My heels are BCBG. I've gotten so many questions, comments, and emails about my high waisted rainbow shorts a few posts back, so I've decided to start making them. I'm selling them for $35, not including shipping. Just write me an email at and tell me your size and the colors you want, and I'll send you back an invoice with the total cost. By the way..thank you everyone for all your sweet comments and advice on what I should do with fashion school. I appreciate and love all of you for supporting me in everything I do! You guys are the best ever! P.S. I've got a lot of questions oh which famous people influence me? The answer to that question is Oprah and Lady Gaga..weird combo isnt it? haha but I love strong women.

i just want more.

“The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for” -Maureen Dowd

I've been holding off posting this dress just because I'm so in love with it. It was given to my by my aunt. I love the sound it makes whenever I walk. It's like people know i'm coming in the room from all the beads hitting each other. I want to do something different with my hair. The blonde streak I have in the back is going to be replaced or maybe ill add guys will just have to wait and see =] Lately, I've been contemplating if I should even go to fashion school in New York like originally planned, OR keep blogging as usual, maybe pitch some ideas I have to companies, or maybe move to New York hoping for an internship. I feel like I don't need a fashion degree to accomplish this fashion empire I'm trying to build. You know? Choosing which step I should take from here is difficult. I have success with my followers (hello to all the new ones), and the blogging world, but what's the next step from here?

amen fashion.

I don't wait for moods. You accomplish nothing if you do that. Your mind must know it has got to get down to work" -Pearl S. Buck

Who else thinks the song 'Amen Fashion' by Lady Gaga is their runway song? I could listen to that song all day long and strut around like if im on a runway 24/7. Seriously obsessed. So believe it or not, this entire outfit was thrifted. Good thrift finder right? haha I always put my game face on once I open those thrift store doors. Well my ticket is officially bought for up north. So in August i'll be hitting up New York/New Jersey/Philly...and I really can't wait. Feels like I haven't been there in forever and it's only been about 4 months! Ahhh. Get ready for some good thrift finds darlings!

I cropped this wife beater for this outfit. The blazer, shorts, and letter 'N' pin are all thrifted finds. The pin makes me want to go get one made really big saying NADIA. haha. My pastel pink belt is from Forever21. I love this combination color together!

“Very few people are original. There's very little original anything out there. Because to be original means you have to stand alone” - Susan Powter

I have had this lace top for quite some time now. I bought it at a thrift store in New Jersey while I was living there a year or so ago. I remember when I first got this, I use to just walk around my house with nothing but it on. I mean how couldn't I? haha
