"Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got" -Janis Joplin

It has literally been storming like crazy here in Florida. My work and school schedule are constantly conflicting with Florida's crazy weather schedule. By the time I'm out of work or school, it's usually pouring rain which stops me from taking any sort of pictures but I tried doing something light for you guys! This use to be a long sleeve sweater that I bought at a thrift store in Philly, decided to cut the sleeves off and sew them together to make a belt. I love love love color blocking by the way. Thank you to donewithconformity for making this picture of me on her blog was so super sweet. I also want to say thank you to all my new followers. All your sweet emails, tweets, and comments I receive are super touching and mean a lot to me.

i want you today, tomorrow, and beyond.

"As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around" Oprah

It was storming outside yesterday when I took these pictures. I don't know how I managed to take them in between the 2 huge storms but I pulled it off. Florida really has bi-polar weather. Recently, I was featured on you can Honey Andrade's blog. Click HERE to see it. I loved the question that was asked, and I wanted to post my response to it. Question: "You seem really confident with yourself and you really are the epitome of fearless but are there days/situations when you don't feel so good about yourself? What do you do to overcome that feeling?"

My answer: Believe it or not, as fearless and confident as I am, I am only human and do have some insecurities as well as regrets. As strong and confident as I want to be for my followers, I want them to also understand that they too can overcome any insecurities they have. Anyone who says they aren't insecure in some way are full of it. My past regrets and insecurities are what have made me as strong as I am today. There was a point in my life where I wasn't happy with myself. It took a lot of me time and it wasn't easy. It didn't happen overnight, I knew not to expect fast results. The best way I overcame insecurities is I changed what I wasnt happy with. If i couldnt change what I didn't like, then I changed my view or perception of it. For instance, if you don't like the way your life is headed, then ask yourself what goals, steps, and moves can I make to get where I want to be? Physically, there was aspects of myself I could and could not change. That is when you change your perception of beauty and learn to accept yourself. The definition of beauty is defined differently by every person. What I do to overcome any insecure feelings is remind myself I have so many positive things going for me and I didn't come this far to give up now. I look past insecurities of mine and try not to drown myself in regrets. Be sure to stay optimisstic, learn from every mistake, never doubt yourself. The best advice is your own, always push forward, always focus on the positive rather than the negative, and don't let other people or society define what beauty is for you. You're given a brain, think for yourself, don't let other peoples biased opinions define you as a person. Be sure to be yourself everywhere you go, don't be ashamed of who you are. It's easier to be yourself than anyone else. If you accept yourself, then other people will accept you too, if they don't then they dont need to be around. The way to stay confident is to find a purpose in life, a place where you feel comfortable at and comfortable with yourself. You know yourself better than anyone else, trust you. I never lose sight of my vision. This is how I have become so confident with myself. If you're confident with who you are on the inside, then it automatically shows on the outside. When you know who you are as a person and what you want out of life, confidence comes naturally.

another side I never showed you.

I've learned more from failures than success" -JayZ

A few weeks back, one of my lovely followers by the name of Cynthia, sent me some questions to feature me on her blog, and I was so impressed with her unique and detailed questions that I decided to answer them via video. Everyone can go check out her blog HERE! The first video is the questions including the answers. The second video is little clips of me in the process of making the video. I thought it would be cute if I combined the stuff I didn't put in the first video so you guys can see my personality without me being all serious haha.

I felt like throwing an outfit together that had a 90's chic New York Vouge feel. Guess it's the lipstick, the gold, the was just something I went for. I kind of miss New York and the feel of it, so what better way to bring it out through an outfit haha. My heels are Forever 21. My glasses are H&M. My dad's birthday is tomorrow! Happy Birthday to HIM!

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying" -Michael Jordan

This post, I decided to do something a little different. For those who don't know why I look so middle eastern, it would be because I'm half Lebanese haha. The head scarf I'm wearing is called a keffiyeh. I'm pretty much in love with head wraps in general and these earrings I'm wearing. I've been thrift shopping more than ever now, I never realized how much clothes and heels I haven't even worn in previous posts. I literally have racks of clothes that I have yet to wear, so hopefully if I can make time, I'll be taking more pictures. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

built for it.

"If everyone is thinking alike then somebody isn't thinking" -George S. Patton

This quote is a huge way of my thinking. It couldn't get any more realer then that. I feel it not only has to do with life in general but fashion as well. If everyone is doing whats trendy, then how can you ever define yourself/style as an individual to stick out from the rest? People are inspired from others all the time, including myself, but being inspired is far different from replicating someone or something. Hands down these pants are my favorite out of my entire collection of pants. I love the way they fit and the deep green color goes perfect with gold. My top was obviously a DIY, it use to be an actual shirt, and of course I cropped it like I do most every shirt I own haha.

nearly unstoppable.

I think excellence is being able to perform at a high level over and over again" -JayZ

Blue isn't one of my favorite colors, it never really has been. I figured I should really start trying to give it a try since its a bold enough color to make good statements. If anyone is interested in buying this amazing white clutch with gold detail that I'm holding, click HERE! I hope everyone's weekend went well!

pretty lady, plus more.

"Every morning I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I'm not there, I go to work" -Robert Orben

I love the color white but for some reason I'm not really too fond of it on me. This entire outfit is thrifted. The dress, heels, and even my dainty necklace which is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I wasn't satisfied with how the dress originally was, so I cut the length shorter and also cut the long sleeves off. I wanted teal-blue to fade into the white, so I found my sister's hair dye in the bathroom (shes a hair stylist haha) and decided to mix the dye with some water and dip dye the dress to get the effect. To my surprise, it came out pretty decent. I feel pretty accomplished with this DIY. haha.

constant competition.

"Any master of his craft knows that it is not his opponent he is fighting. It is himself" -Chae Richardson

This post is a combination of what happens when I get bored AND when I feel like I'm always in competition with myself. I've always had this desire to dye my hair blonde but afraid of damaging my hair and dont want to lose my exotic look so this wig will do. haha. But don't worry, I won't be dying my hair blonde! I love my multicolor heels, the purple and teal compliment each other so well. I found this purse at a thrift store. It hands down is my favorite bag EVER, I guess it has to do with the shape, anything unusual I usually fall in love with.
